ben stayed back home and made great progress with wyatt on their history day project ("Football, Teddy Roosevelt and Muscular Americanism: The Invention of the Forward Pass"). he also played his last bball game of the year--where he actually got to start, scored a basket or two, and grabbed a handful of rebounds. He also got great news--"life changing" according to the person who gave it to him: he landed a job at Conny's Creamy Cone! He gets trained in in a week or two, as soon as the weather is good enough for customers to start wanting ice cream. Spring is definitely in the air...

back on a big weekend
back from brainerd and sitting here watching the closing ceremonies. we were up north for emma's hockey tournament--they didn't get a win but played several of the best teams in the state, competed well and had a good time with the great weather. emma had an assist and a penalty in one game. we also had a lot of fun playing boot hockey on the lake and winter golf (with tennis balls in the snow).

Whoa! Ben in the job market. Good for you, Ben. It sounds like you had a fun weekend, Emma. I'm thinking this is the end of the hockey season. I'm hoping that March has come in like a lion, but there seems to be some discussion about that. Love, M and D, N and P
