her name is emma hartmann...

so, mmsa student council election results are in and the new 7th grade representative is, you guessed it, one of our family members! key to her victory, according to all parties involved (even one of the boys she beat, who had brought donuts for the class), was the last line of her speech: "I'm Emma Hartmann, and I approved this message." Don't be surprised if she calls you looking for fundraising, as this is one of the points of emphasis in her new position.

in other news: ben's got the big homecoming game tomorrow night (complicated by the fact that the sophomores have to play in the C game earlier in the afternoon, as well as that the band wants ben to play with them at halftime). on the academic front, he also got the highest score in his class on a recent AP European history test.

also, terri was called out to LA again on Tuesday to be with her mom. she is resting comfortably at home and a priest from the Japanese mission made a visit earlier in the week. not sure if/when the rest of us will go out, but prayers for all much appreciated.
