busy holi-days

last day of school for the kids today, and then the christmas vacation begins. not a moment too soon. we just got our christmas tree and lights up this weekend; emma had the mmsa christmas concert last night. ben has a bball game weds night (emma and doug have gophers tix). but the big question is whether we will be able to drive to missouri the day after christmas or not. a big snow storm appears to be taking shape in the Rockies that could make Iowa a disaster. wouldn't be the first time...but even if we are delayed we are determined to make it to Cape for a few days.

oh yeah, and our christmas cards and letters go out today. this year we have a family quiz/public opinion poll. most of the info is logged here on the blog and some is up to your judgement but selected answers include: 1. ps...ben got the first significant minutes of his high school bball career in two games last saturday. He hit a nice baseline jumper in one, played really physical, hard-nosed defense in both, and had a number of good rebounds against much taller kids.
