we had another break-in this afternoon at the house. not much lost (an ipod touch, an inexpensive watch, a camera, and the contents of our loose change container) but very unsettling. ben discovered it after school. the perpetrator(s) broke out the double-pane patio door in back (and another window) to get in. he called us right away, and we got there before just emma did. the police came and it turned out there was a whole series of similar episodes on streets and alleys all around us throughout the afternoon. uggg...
